A substantial U.S. military convoy, comprising over 40 trucks loaded with military equipment and logistical supplies, has entered Syria from Iraq, heading towards an American base in the northeastern province of Hasakah, according to reports from Sputnik.

A Syrian field source told Sputnik, “A military convoy of the U.S. forces, consisting of 43 trucks, entered through the Al-Walid crossing at the Syrian-Iraqi border, directed towards the American base in Hasakah province.”

The source noted that the trucks were carrying military gear, along with logistical and medical supplies.

Additionally, the source mentioned that the U.S. Army conducted live ammunition drills at its base in the Omar oil field in Deir ez-Zor province, eastern Syria, just this past Friday.

Earlier, another Syrian field source informed Sputnik that the U.S. military in northern Syria has intensified its drills and is heavily importing new equipment.

The bases are being fortified with watchtowers and air defense systems.

Last Wednesday, the source reported that U.S. forces conducted joint maneuvers with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) at an American base near the town of Malikiyah in Hasakah province.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander, Hossein Salami, announced on Thursday the death of a military advisor from the IRGC Aerospace Forces, who succumbed to injuries sustained in an airstrike in Syria earlier this month.

Hossein Salami revealed in a statement that Ahmad Reza Afshari was injured during an attack by international coalition forces in Syria in early August and passed away today in an Iranian hospital due to severe injuries.

Salami added, “He was injured in the first half of August… and was transferred to Iran for treatment. Today, Thursday, he died from his severe wounds,” according to the semi-official Tasnim News Agency.
