A fatal shooting took place in Baltimore, Maryland, early Sunday morning and left four people dead and dozens injured.

Media reports revealed that the mass shooting occurred during a gathering overnight in the Brooklyn Homes section of South Baltimore.

Baltimore Police stated that officers and medical personnel responded to the scene in the 800 block of Gretna Avenue.

Witnesses told Fox 45 Baltimore they heard 20 to 30 shots fired. “They just kept going off,” the witness said.

Meanwhile, a news conference is expected to happen.

Last June, police in Missouri announced that at least three people were killed and five others were hurt in two shootings across Kansas City.

Kansas City Police Department spokesperson Jake Becchina stated that officers were called to the intersection of 57th Street and Prospect Avenue just after 4:30 a.m.
