The Lebanese Hezbollah released on Saturday evening a statement revealing the losses the Israeli army has sustained since the beginning of its ground operation in Lebanon.
Hezbollah stated, “In the past few days, since the Israeli enemy army announced the start of its ground operation towards villages in southern Lebanon, the resistance has counted more than 25 officers and soldiers killed among the enemy’s elite forces, and over 130 wounded.”
The statement added, “The enemy has acknowledged some of these figures, and the coming days will reveal what has been hidden from its public.”
Additionally, Hezbollah announced targeting Israeli soldiers on Saturday evening in the Manara colony with a barrage of rockets, noting it achieved “confirmed hits.”
The Israeli Air Force launched five airstrikes on southern Beirut early Sunday, including four “very violent” raids on the southern suburb, a main stronghold of Hezbollah, following an Israeli military warning to evacuate buildings in the area. The National News Agency reported that “the enemy’s warplanes carried out four very violent raids on the southern suburb, and one raid on the Shoueifat area, with ambulances rushing to the site.”
A correspondent from Sky News Arabia in Beirut reported another Israeli airstrike on Haret Hreik in the southern suburbs on Saturday evening.
Our correspondent also confirmed consecutive Israeli airstrikes on locations in and around the southern suburbs, leading to large fires.
