1 Students Injured in Bus Incident in Algeria

In a distressing incident early this morning in Bejaia, Algeria, a bus transporting students veered off course, resulting in 51 injuries.

The Algerian Civil Protection reported that the accident occurred at 7:44 local time in the area known as Sebt Aguidim, within the Amizour municipality and district.

The statement detailed that the students were en route to a trip in the Jijel province when the unfortunate event unfolded. Among the injured, 30 individuals required immediate medical attention and were promptly transported for treatment.

The incident has sparked concerns about road safety and transport regulations for school excursions in the region.
