Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, as confirmed by a statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry on Friday.
The conversation between the two officials centered around a recent meeting hosted by Saudi Arabia, aiming to contribute to diplomatic efforts in resolving the ongoing conflict involving Russia’s war in Ukraine.
Secretary Blinken expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for convening a meeting in Jeddah, where representatives from more than 40 countries gathered earlier this month to deliberate on the principles of establishing a fair and enduring peace in Ukraine.
Both the US Secretary and the Saudi Foreign Minister affirmed their commitment to ongoing collaboration in order to bring an end to the destructive conflict in Sudan.
Furthermore, they pledged to intensify their joint endeavors to achieve a sustainable peace in Yemen through a UN-mediated Yemeni-Yemeni peace process.
