Snapchat unveiled its collaboration with the link-in-bio platform Linktree, enabling users to showcase their work and other profiles directly on Snapchat.
Previously, link inclusion in profiles was exclusive to brands and select creators known as Snap Stars. However, with this new integration, Snap expands the feature to include any user with a public profile.
Snap’s decision to incorporate Linktree comes somewhat late in the game, but the new function now allows users over 18 years old to create a public profile and add their Linktree or any other website URL to their Snapchat profile.
Users can easily add their URL by navigating to their public profile, clicking on ‘edit’, and selecting ‘Website or Linktree’.
Linktree is set to further enhance Snapchat profile visibility on its platform. Moreover, creators can also display their Snapchat profiles on their Linktree page, marked by a social icon and an ‘Add me on Snapchat’ button. Linktree has been integrated into Snapchat’s default share sheet as well.
As part of this new collaboration, Linktree is offering a complimentary three-month subscription to Linktree Pro, its premium service.
This package includes advanced features such as data collection, the ability to embed the latest tweets and YouTube videos, and an NFT lock feature.
Snap continues to prioritize creators in its monetization strategy. Earlier this year, Snapchat launched a program that shares ad revenue with eligible creators based on followers and monthly Snap views.
The social media giant also introduced the ‘Public Stories’ feature, allowing users to share their stories with all users, not just their friends or followers.
