The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has continued its humanitarian efforts in supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, by conducting a new aid drop in the northern part of the region in collaboration with Egypt.
The UAE’s Ministry of Defense Joint Operations Command announced the execution of “Birds of Goodness,” the 14th aerial aid drop of humanitarian and relief supplies to northern Gaza, conducted by joint crews from the UAE and Egyptian Air Forces.
According to a statement on the “X” social media platform (formerly Twitter) by the UAE Ministry of Defense, the aid drop operations were carried out over isolated areas in northern Gaza, which are otherwise inaccessible.
Two planes were used to deliver 31 tons of food and relief supplies, bringing the total aid delivered since the start of the “Birds of Goodness” operation to 541 tons.
The “Birds of Goodness” operation is part of the “Gallant Knight 3” initiative aimed at supporting the fraternal Palestinian people in Gaza. The UAE has intensified its efforts during the holy month of Ramadan, delivering aid through a collaborative effort of governmental, non-governmental, and charitable organizations in the UAE, including the Emirates Red Crescent, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, Zayed bin Sultan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, among others.
