Rising Emirati racing star Rashid Al Dhaheri secured a significant victory in the fourth round of the Italian Formula 4 Championship at the challenging Mugello Circuit near Florence, Italy. Al Dhaheri climbed to the main race podium, finishing third in the second race.
Demonstrating his exceptional skills, Rashid Al Dhaheri competed against over 36 top young drivers from 25 countries. Driving for the Prema team in the colors of “Yas Heat,” Al Dhaheri’s performance earned him a well-deserved third place, securing his spot on the podium.
In the official training session the day before the competition, Al Dhaheri recorded the second-fastest time, placing him second overall in the pre-race qualifiers. In the second round, held over two days, Al Dhaheri accumulated crucial points, positioning him prominently among the competitors.
Rashid Al Dhaheri reflected on his performance, saying, “The training sessions were thrilling. I maintained a high level of focus and consistent pace, so I knew a strong result was possible. Despite achieving good times, converting them into a podium finish was incredibly challenging, with mere tenths of a second separating the drivers and their cars. I had to fight hard to ensure a top position.”
Al Dhaheri expressed his determination to reach the podium again in the fifth round of the Formula 4 Championship on July 21 at the renowned Circuit Paul Ricard in France.
