Hezbollah announced on Tuesday that it had targeted Israel’s “Nimra Military Base” in the northern region with dozens of rockets. In a statement on its official Telegram channel, the group said the attack was in support of the resilient Palestinian people in Gaza and in defense of Lebanon and its citizens.
In response, the Israeli army launched a new wave of airstrikes on Lebanon, with further attacks planned in the coming hours. Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated that the army had struck over 1,300 Hezbollah targets across Lebanon in the past 24 hours.
Adraee claimed that the strikes targeted strategic assets placed by Hezbollah within civilian areas, which the group allegedly intended to use against Israeli civilians. He also warned Lebanese citizens to avoid returning to areas containing weapons, calling them dangerous and potential future targets for airstrikes.
