Russia’s Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, condemned NATO’s military exercises near Finnish territory bordering Russia, labeling them as provocative and aimed at pressuring Russia.

Zakharova emphasized that such maneuvers escalate the risk of potential military incidents.

According to Zakharova, NATO representatives are actively fueling hysteria about an alleged Russian threat to justify their own aggressive intentions.

She accused the military alliance of engaging in a hybrid war against Russia and criticized Finland’s potential alignment with NATO, accusing Helsinki of seeking rapid integration into the alliance.

Zakharova highlighted Moscow’s vigilance against Western aggression and vowed that necessary political and military measures would be taken to safeguard Russia’s defense capability against perceived threats.
