French authorities evacuated staff and students from three schools in the northern city of Amiens due to a reported bomb threat, according to France Info radio. Around 15:30, a school in the city of Amiens was evacuated again due to a bombing threat.
According to French media, the authorities evacuated 3 schools, noting that this is the second time staff and students have been evacuated from schools within a week due to bomb threats. Earlier, the Parisian newspaper reported, citing the Ministry of Education, that French educational institutions received at least 323 bomb threat reports in 44 institutions over the past week.
The individuals making the threats claimed to be acting on behalf of the ISIS terrorist organization. French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced last Sunday that the security alert level had been raised to its highest level following a terrorist attack in the “Crocus” hall in the suburbs of Moscow.
France has been on high alert since October 13, following a tragic incident where a teacher was fatally stabbed by a 20-year-old man in Arras, Northern France. This heightened security level, known as “Urgence attentat,” has led to increased military presence in public spaces and a higher vigilance towards potential security threats across the country.
