Former U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that the US could face terrorist attacks soon, attributing the threat to the influx of illegal immigrants into the country.
Speaking to his supporters in South Carolina, where the Republican primary will take place on February 24th, Trump expressed his concerns about illegal entries into the US.
“People are sneaking into our country who should not be here. Individuals are infiltrating our nation and they could cause significant problems.”
“There is a 100% chance of terrorist attacks in the not-so-distant future,” Trump stated, as reported by Russia Today.
Trump pledged that if he were to win the elections in November, he would terminate the “open border policy” initiated by current President Joe Biden and would commence the largest deportation of illegal immigrants in American history.
The former president has previously warned that by the end of Biden’s presidency, the number of illegal immigrants in the US could reach approximately 19 million, surpassing the population of New York State.
Last month, Trump blamed Joe Biden for the deadly attack on US troops in Jordan that killed three American soldiers.
“This was a horrific attack, and it is the direct result of Biden’s weak and feckless foreign policy,” Trump said in a statement. “ The former president has emboldened our enemies and made the United States less safe.”
Biden said the attack was carried out by Iranian-backed militias in Syria and Iraq.
“This was a cowardly act of terrorism, and we will not rest until the perpetrators are brought to justice,” Biden said.
Last month, Tesla CEO Elon Musk accused the US administration of actively promoting illegal immigration.
Musk highlighted the information that the US Supreme Court allowed the dismantling of the barbed wire fence.
The fence along the border with Mexico was designed to protect the border from the influx of migrants into the country.
“This administration is actively promoting illegal immigration,” Musk said on his social network X.
