In a significant gathering at the headquarters of the Strategic Command in the New Administrative Capital, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting with General Mohamed Zaki, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense and Military Production. Also present were Lieutenant General Osama Askar, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches, and several leaders of the Armed Forces.
The meeting focused on a comprehensive review of various issues related to the activities and tasks undertaken by the Armed Forces to safeguard the capabilities of the Egyptian state and protect its strategic interests. It also delved into the examination of current regional and international developments, assessing their implications on Egypt’s national security.
Additionally, discussions touched upon Egypt’s endeavors and positions in support of the Palestinian people, specifically addressing the humanitarian challenges faced in the Gaza Strip. President El-Sisi highlighted collaborative efforts with UN institutions and emphasized coordination with brotherly and friendly countries to address the deteriorating conditions in the region.
President El-Sisi expressed deep appreciation for the collective efforts made by the Egyptian state and its national institutions in confronting challenges arising from successive global and regional crises. He particularly commended the dedication and sacrifices of the Armed Forces personnel in executing their assigned tasks and duties, emphasizing their pivotal role in safeguarding the nation and preserving its national security.
