Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, as they discussed the shooting incident.
Presidential Spokesman, Counsellor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that the two leaders touched upon the incident that took place on the Egyptian-Israeli border on Saturday, killing security personnel.
El-Sisi and Netanyahu stressed the importance of full coordination to uncover all the circumstances of the incident, affirming that the two sides must continue maintain bilateral relations.
They also discussed ways to achieve a just and comprehensive peace and boost stability in the region.
