Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call this evening from U.S. President Joe Biden to discuss the regional situation and efforts to restore stability.

The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the two leaders reviewed the results of the recent round of negotiations held in Doha over the past two days.

These talks were part of the implementation of the joint Egyptian-American-Qatari statement aimed at achieving an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, facilitating the exchange of hostages and detainees, and alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The two presidents agreed to continue and intensify their joint efforts in the coming days to reach an agreement on these issues.
