Egypt Raises Concerns Over Gaza Military Escalation

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received a phone call from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, during which they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations across various fields, in line with the exceptional and historical relationship between the two countries and in support of their mutual interests amid current international and regional situations.

The conversation also covered regional developments and the escalating tensions in the area. President Sisi outlined Egypt’s efforts to engage with all parties to promote a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, aimed at preventing the expansion of conflict in the region.

He highlighted Egypt’s endeavors to deliver humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza and emphasized the necessity of making tangible progress towards calming the situation and advancing the two-state solution process.
