Denmark announced today its intention to provide a new support package for Ukraine worth €1 billion.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated in a press conference in Oslo that she would present the new support package to the country’s parliament tomorrow, Thursday, as reported by the British network “Sky News.”

This announcement coincides with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s meeting with the leaders of the Nordic countries in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, as part of his efforts to secure more financial support for his country’s war effort.

It’s worth noting that Denmark has already provided approximately €2.8 billion in military aid to Ukraine and an additional €378 million in humanitarian support since the start of the conflict with Russia in February of last year.

Copenhagen has already provided Ukraine with defense assistance amounting to around €2.8 billion following Russia’s large-scale invasion.

Additionally, the Danish government has also offered humanitarian aid to Ukraine totaling €378 million.

In October, Denmark’s Minister of Defense, Troels Lund Poulsen, mentioned the country’s possibility of sending the first F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine in the first quarter of the following year.
