US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to embark on a new Middle East tour, including Israel, starting this evening.

This tour comes at a time when concerns are mounting over the widening scope of Israel’s hostilities in Gaza.

According to The Washington Post, a US official stated to international news agencies that Blinken will depart the US on Thursday evening on a trip that includes Israel and several other stops in the Middle East.

The official declined to provide further details regarding the specific itinerary and stops of this journey.

This visit marks the fifth official visit of Blinken to Israel and the fourth to the region since the outbreak of the Al-Aqsa Operation on October 7th of last year.
