On Tuesday, the Arab League made a strong appeal for immediate Arab mobilization via the United Nations Security Council and its members. The goal is to put an end to Israeli attacks on Palestinians and to ensure they receive international protection, as per reports from the Arab World News Agency.
This appeal was part of a resolution made at an extraordinary Arab League Council meeting chaired by Egypt.
The meeting focused on exploring ways to counteract the “incessant and escalating Israeli assaults on Palestinians,” particularly addressing the relentless Israeli aggression in the city of Jenin, its surrounding camp, and other regions within the occupied West Bank.
The Arab League Council’s resolution stressed that should the Security Council fail to uphold its duty in preserving international peace and security, the United Nations General Assembly should be approached.
The ultimate aim is to “enact necessary resolutions for ceasing Israeli aggression against Palestinians,” to implement related UN resolutions regarding international protection for Palestinians, and to bestow full UN membership upon the State of Palestine.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced earlier today that the Israeli operations launched in the early hours of yesterday morning in Jenin and its camp resulted in the death of ten individuals and approximately 100 injuries, with 20 of them in critical condition
