Lebanon’s Hezbollah launched rockets at an Israeli military industry complex in Haifa on Sunday, following deadly explosions involving pager and walkie-talkie devices.
The group said it fired dozens of Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles — new weapons in their arsenal — at the Ramat David airbase near Haifa.
The Israeli army reported that more than 100 projectiles were fired from Lebanon, with 85 crossing into Israeli territory.
The rocket barrage triggered air raid sirens across northern Israel, forcing thousands into shelters. Israel’s rescue services treated several people for shrapnel injuries, including a man in Kiryat Bialik.
The attack follows an Israeli airstrike in Beirut that killed 37 people, including a senior Hezbollah commander and civilians.
