Israeli media reported on Wednesday that an Israeli soldier was killed and five others were injured during the ongoing military operation in Jenin, located in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Israeli website Walla, the soldier was killed in the course of the ongoing military activities in the area. The site also noted that approximately 30 individuals, described as terrorists, have been killed and about 30 Palestinians suspected of terrorist activities have been arrested.

During the combat, a fighter from Battalion 906 was killed, and five others sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. In response, the Israeli military has bolstered its forces in the West Bank with border guards, engineering vehicles, and special reserve forces.

Earlier, Walla reported that the Israeli military decided to continue its operations in Jenin based on intelligence about what it termed “terrorist activity.”

On another front, Channel 13 in Israel, citing military officials, stated that any expansion of the military operation into Gaza would jeopardize the lives of hostages.
