The health ministry in Gaza reported on Thursday that at least 38,345 people have been killed since the war between Israel and Palestinian militants began on October 7. This figure includes 50 new deaths in the past 24 hours. Additionally, 88,295 people have been wounded in the Gaza Strip during this period.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Government Media Office in Gaza condemned the ongoing blockade by Israel and the US on humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and goods entering Gaza, now in its 65th consecutive day. The Media Office stated that the prevention of aid, along with the silence and complicity of many countries, constitutes a “grave humanitarian crime.”
The blockade endangers the lives of thousands of children, patients, and civilians, leaving their fate uncertain. The statement highlighted that hundreds of thousands of tons of aid and medical supplies are piled up on the other side of Gaza’s crossings, awaiting permission to enter.
The Media Office further noted that the blockade itself is a crime, representing a moral decline as various countries align themselves with the Israeli occupation and its actions, contributing to the humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
