In the past 24 hours, US Central Command forces successfully destroyed an Iranian-backed Houthi radar site in a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen.

The radar site posed an imminent threat to US and coalition forces, as well as merchant vessels in the region.

This action aimed to protect freedom of navigation and ensure the safety and security of international waters.

Attacks on vessels in the Red Sea by Iran-aligned Houthis have disrupted a crucial shipping route for east-west trade.

The prolonged rerouting of shipments has led to higher freight rates and congestion in Asian and European ports.
