Jordan’s Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, embarked on a two-day visit to Ankara, where he held a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two nations and engaged in discussions regarding regional matters, with a particular emphasis on the Palestinian issue and efforts to resolve ongoing regional crises while promoting security and stability.

The topic of Syrian refugees also featured prominently during Mr Safadi’s talks in Turkey.

Following the meeting, he expressed the mutual agreement between Jordan and Turkey to work closely and intensively toward finding a solution to the Syrian crisis.

Both countries, as major hosts to Syrian refugees, emphasised the importance of ensuring that the future of these individuals lies within their own homeland.

The discussions between Jordan and Turkey signify their shared commitment to fostering collaboration and addressing critical regional challenges while emphasizing the well-being and future prospects of Syrian refugees.
