The airport in Billund City, Denmark has been evacuated due to a bomb threat, as reported by Reuters, citing local police sources.

One suspect has been apprehended in connection with the threat.

Billund Airport remains closed as authorities investigate the incident, according to the news agency.

The police statement confirmed that a man was arrested on Saturday regarding the bomb threat.

Police inspector Michael Weiss stated in a release, “The evacuation has proceeded calmly and as expected, with travelers following our instructions.”

Investigations are ongoing, and the police have not provided a timeline for the airport’s reopening.

Billund Airport, located in central western Denmark, is the country’s second-largest aviation hub, serving both domestic and international flights.

It is known for being the main airport for travelers visiting LEGOLAND Billund Resort, one of Denmark’s most popular tourist attractions.
