Algeria Supports Constitutional Legitimacy in Niger

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune addressed several national and international issues during his regular meeting with the media, including the crisis in Niger and his upcoming visit to France.

In a short video of the meeting released by the presidential office, Tebboune responded to a question about the crisis in Niger, stating, “We support constitutional legitimacy, and they must return to it, and we will help them in doing so.”

Regarding his planned visit to France, he stated, “Our visit to France is still scheduled, and we are waiting for the program of the visit from the French presidency.”

The president also discussed the recent wildfires, stating that Algeria has acquired a large aircraft and leased six other planes to strengthen the capabilities of the civil protection service.

Highlighting Algeria’s achievements in water production, Tebboune announced that his country has become the first African country and the third Arab country in seawater desalination.

During the meeting with representatives of the national media, he touched on various files and issues of national, regional, and international importance.
