The Gaza Health Ministry announced on Thursday that the death toll from the Israeli offensive has exceeded 30,000 since the conflict began on October 7th.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to launch severe airstrikes on various areas across the Gaza Strip.
According to Health Ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra, the death toll surpassed 30,000 following the arrival of 79 bodies at hospitals in the territory on Wednesday.
In a related event, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported the death of 50 Palestinians and over 200 injuries in a massacre after Israeli forces bombed a gathering of civilians waiting to receive aid near the Nabulsi roundabout in northern Gaza.
Gaza’s government media stated that this deliberate massacre is part of a genocidal campaign against the inhabitants of the Strip, noting that the Israeli forces were aware that victims were gathering in the area to receive aid but nonetheless carried out the cold-blooded killings.
The director of the nursing department at the Al-Shifa Medical Complex told Al Jazeera that the current situation is reminiscent of the Baptist Hospital massacre, with the hospital receiving hundreds of wounded following the Israeli bombardment at the Nabulsi roundabout.
He added that Al-Shifa Complex has only three small operating rooms with limited resources to treat hundreds of injured individuals.
This morning, several victims arrived at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital due to Israeli shelling in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, with images showing bodies piled on the hospital floor due to a lack of space in the morgue.
