The Iraqi resistance has announced a drone attack on U.S. forces stationed at the Ain Al-Assad base in Anbar province, western Iraq.

In a statement, the resistance declared, “In continuation of our approach to resist the American occupying forces in Iraq and the region, and in response to the Zionist entity’s massacres against our people in Gaza, resistance fighters attacked the occupied Ain Al-Assad base in western Iraq with drones last night,” affirming their commitment to continue targeting enemy strongholds.

This attack follows a recent drone strike near Erbil airport in northern Iraq, also targeting U.S. forces. The Iraqi resistance’s actions highlight the ongoing tensions and hostilities in the region, reflecting the complex dynamics of international military presence and local resistance movements.

The situation underscores the volatile security landscape in Iraq, where foreign military bases often become focal points for attacks by various groups.

The incident at Ain Al-Assad base further complicates the already strained relations between the U.S. and Iraqi factions opposed to the American military’s presence in the country.

As developments unfold, the international community watches closely, with concerns over the potential escalation of conflict and its implications for regional stability and security.
