The jersey, autographed by the celebrated Egyptian player, was put up for auction after British boxer Amir Khan decided to donate it.
Khan had received the shirt personally from Salah and chose to auction it off, dedicating the proceeds to aid those affected by the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
During this charity auction, the Liverpool shirt bearing Mohamed Salah’s name and signature achieved the highest bid, reaching a quarter of a million British pounds.

“With the brutal war going on in the Middle East, especially the death and destruction in Gaza, this year we get to Christmas with very heavy hearts and we share the pain of those families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones. Please do not forget them and do not get used to their suffering.”
