The Red Crescent reported on Tuesday that more than 10,000 Palestinians are still missing under the rubble in the Gaza Strip.
This announcement comes just after the first anniversary of the onset of the war in the region.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the death toll from the Israeli offensive on Gaza has reached 41,909, with 97,303 injuries recorded since October 7 last year.
The Health Ministry also confirmed that many victims remain under debris and along roadsides, unreachable by emergency and civil defense teams due to ongoing conflicts.
Israeli forces continue to carry out daily airstrikes and artillery shelling across Gaza, from north to south, targeting residential areas, mosques, schools, and tents sheltering displaced individuals.
These attacks, purportedly aimed at Hamas operatives, predominantly claim the lives of children and women, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the area.
The Ministry of Health announced on Monday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza has risen to 41,909, with the majority of the victims being children and women. This figure has surged since the offensive began on October 7.
The Ministry also reported that the number of injured Palestinians has reached 97,303 since the beginning of the aggression. Thousands of victims remain trapped under the rubble.
The Palestinian Health Ministry indicated that Israeli forces have committed 43 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip. Rescue teams are struggling to reach more victims, as many remain under the debris and stranded on the streets due to the heavy bombardment.
The unprecedented Israeli assault continues by land, sea, and air, lasting for over a year. The offensive caused tens of thousands of deaths, injuries, and disappearances.
It also left massive destruction across Gaza’s infrastructure and essential services, triggering an unparalleled humanitarian catastrophe as access to food, water, medicine, and fuel remains severely restricted.
