Saudi Arabia’s Prime Minister and Chairman of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is set to participate in the official Kingdom reception ceremony for Riyadh’s nomination to host Expo 2030. The event is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Paris.
The official reception ceremony will welcome representatives from 179 countries who are members of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), the organization responsible for the International Expo. This event comes on the eve of the BIE’s 172nd General Assembly meeting, slated to be held on Tuesday, June 20, in Paris.
The ceremony forms part of the nomination process for hosting the Riyadh Expo 2030. It aims to showcase the readiness of the Saudi capital, its plans, and its projects for hosting the Expo, setting the stage for voting to select the host city for this prestigious event at the next General Assembly meeting, to be held in November 2023.
