Four rockets, originating from regions under Syrian regime and armed militia control, fell on the American base at the Koniko gas field, coinciding with the arrival of military reinforcements for the “International Coalition.” Explosions sounded in the weapon military base area, halting the reinforcement convoy before entering the base.

In a statement on Monday, Iraqi factions claimed they targeted an American base at the Koniko gas field in Northern Deir ez-Zor, Syria with a rocket barrage, stating the rockets hit their targets directly. They also claimed to have targeted the Ain Al-Assad American base in western Iraq with rockets, affirming direct hits on the targets.

Two days prior, the United States had announced airstrikes on two weapon and ammunition storage facilities in eastern Syria used by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated these strikes were in retaliation to recent attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria by factions.

Simultaneously, “International Coalition” aircraft flew over the region, targeting militia positions in the villages of Tabiya Shamia and Marat in Deir ez-Zor countryside, destroying rocket launch platforms.

A convoy carrying weapons, military, and logistical equipment headed to the Koniko gas field in eastern Deir ez-Zor today, brought in by the “International Coalition” to bolster their military base, coinciding with the drills conducted at their bases within Syrian territories.

This comes after the escalation of attacks against American bases inside Syrian territories by militia-affiliated marches in retaliation for Gaza.

Explosions occurred at the Omar oil field base, the largest “International Coalition” base in Syria, coinciding with military drills conducted this morning. Columns of smoke were seen rising from the military base area.

In recent days, militias conducted attacks against “International Coalition” forces within their bases in northern and eastern Syria. Since October 19, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights recorded 15 targeting incidents on “International Coalition” bases, distributed as follows: 3 on the Tanf base, 4 on the Omar oil field base, 3 on the Koniko gas field base, 1 on the American base in Rojaba near the city of Malikiya, 2 on the Kharab Al-Jir base in Rimelan, and 2 on the Shaddadi base.
