Manchester Airport experienced a temporary closure after receiving a bomb threat, leading to the diversion of three flights. The incident unfolded when an Emirates flight from Dubai, carrying hundreds of passengers, landed shortly after 7 pm on Tuesday.

Following the threat, Greater Manchester Police officers boarded the Airbus 380, and airport fire engines surrounded the jet to conduct a thorough assessment and security check.

After meticulous searches and security checks, the aircraft was deemed safe, and no suspicious items were discovered. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police reported that the threat was communicated via email, alleging the presence of a suspicious package on the flight.

The incident prompted a coordinated response from law enforcement and airport authorities to ensure the safety of passengers and the airport’s facilities. As the situation unfolded, three flights were diverted as a precautionary measure.

While the threat was ultimately determined to be unsubstantiated, the incident underscores the importance of robust security protocols and swift response measures in the face of potential threats to aviation safety.
