Lebanon’s Health Minister announced today that more than 40 healthcare workers have been killed in the ongoing Israeli assault on Lebanon.
The announcement comes as Hezbollah confirmed the death of Mohammed Sarour, the commander of its aerial unit, due to an Israeli airstrike. This was reported by Lebanese media.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 40 people were killed and 80 others injured following Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Thursday.
Israeli military forces continue to target southern Lebanon. Recently, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on the towns of Ma’aroub and Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon.
The strikes also hit the towns of Deir al-Zahrani and Ansar in the south, leaving three people injured. An initial report confirmed that an Israeli airstrike on a building near the Rweis intersection in Beirut’s southern suburb resulted in casualties.
