Parallel to the aid trucks, a convoy of Egyptian ambulances has made its way into the Gaza Strip via the Rafah Crossing. These ambulances are on a critical mission to transport a number of severely wounded Palestinians back to Egypt for necessary medical treatment.
The Cairo News Agency’s correspondent at the Rafah Crossing confirmed the intensive deployment of ambulances, ready to receive the Palestinian wounded. Egyptian hospitals have been prepared and upgraded to accommodate and treat these critical cases.
More than 40 ambulances were spotted at the Rafah Crossing, poised to welcome around 80 critically injured individuals. These efforts underscore Egypt’s multifaceted support to the residents of Gaza.
The Cairo News Agency observed the movement of vehicles and trucks into Gaza, highlighting the Egyptian side’s preparations at the crossing for the influx of further relief aid.
Sources informed the Cairo News Agency that the Rafah land crossing would open on Wednesday to receive several wounded and injured Palestinians.
The Palestinian Authority’s Crossings and Borders Authority reported that Egypt agreed to accept 81 seriously wounded citizens from the Gaza Strip for medical treatment.
