The police in the city, located about 150 kilometers northwest of Chicago, stated in a press release that a 22-year-old suspect was arrested following the attacks that occurred on Wednesday, according to the Agence France-Presse.
The statement did not specify any potential motive for the attacks.
The victims were a 15-year-old girl, a 63-year-old woman, and two men aged 49 and 22, according to the police.
Recent stabbing incidents across the US have raised concerns about public safety and the security situation in various cities. In Denver, police arrested a suspect related to two separate stabbing attacks that occurred on a Thursday morning, resulting in two fatalities.
