Over 20 people have been reported killed in an Israeli airstrike on two homes in the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, as reported by Al-Aqsa TV.
This update comes after the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) earlier on Tuesday stated that 17 Palestinians, including children and women, were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Al-Nuseirat camp, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, The Times of Israel reported that the Israeli military confirmed the deaths of two of its soldiers in northern Gaza battles, bringing the total number of Israeli military fatalities since the start of the ground operation to 68.
The newspaper identified the deceased as a sergeant and a captain and added that two reserve force members and three soldiers were seriously wounded in clashes.
The Israeli military announced on Tuesday that air raid sirens sounded in the Netiv HaAsara area near the Gaza Strip. The army did not provide further details in the brief statement published on its Telegram account, as reported by the Arab World News Agency.
On the same day, WAFA reported that Israeli forces conducted arrest campaigns in Jenin, its refugee camp, Qabatiya, and Hebron in the West Bank, detaining 13 individuals.
The report specified that five were arrested from Jenin and Qabatiya, while eight were detained in Hebron in the southern West Bank.
Earlier on Tuesday, Palestinian media sources reported clashes between Palestinian militants and Israeli forces in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin in the West Bank.
The Palestine Today website on Telegram stated that youths targeted Israeli forces with homemade explosive devices during the incursion into Qabatiya.
It also reported that the Israeli military raided Balata refugee camp in Nablus and the town of Beit Ummar in Hebron in the West Bank.
