Yahya Saree, the military spokesperson for the Yemeni Houthi militia, stated on Wednesday that the militia targeted military sites deep within Israel with three “Quds 5” cruise missiles.
In a televised statement, he declared, “The Yemeni armed forces confirm that the continued American and British support for the Israeli enemy places American and British interests in the region within the circle of fire.”
Yahya Saree further noted that the Houthi group “will not hesitate to expand its military operations against the Israeli enemy and those who stand behind it, until the aggression stops and the siege on Gaza is lifted, as well as the cessation of aggression on Lebanon.”
The Houthis have launched several attacks on the state of Israel since the beginning of Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip following an unprecedented Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
The Houthis’ intensified military actions follow significant Israeli strikes on Hezbollah, aiming to challenge Israeli and Western interests in the region and pressure Israel to cease its aggressive policies in Gaza and Lebanon.
