A shooting near a shopping center in Willowbrook, Illinois, United States, on Sunday, resulted in the injury of at least 20 people and the death of one individual, according to the American police.
Eric Swanson, Deputy Chief of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, stated that witnesses heard multiple gunshots shortly before 12:30 am in the area where a large gathering was taking place, as reported by Fox News.
Swanson added, “Preliminary witness reports and victims indicate that at least 20 people have been injured by gunfire,” confirming the fatality of one victim.
“The motive behind this incident remains unclear, and this is an active investigation,” said Swanson.
