The US Central Command announced the successful destruction of two missile launch platforms in an area controlled by the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

In a statement yesterday, it was revealed that separately, the Houthis launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles from areas under their control into the Red Sea.

The statement further noted that there are no injuries or damages have been reported by US or coalition ships or commercial vessels.

Additionally, the US Central Command indicated that it also succeeded in destroying two unmanned aerial vehicle systems over the Red Sea, launched from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen.

The conflict in Yemen has been ongoing since 2014 when Houthi rebels seized control of the capital, Sanaa, and forced the internationally recognized government into exile.

Since then, the conflict has escalated into a complex humanitarian crisis, with millions of Yemenis facing food insecurity, lack of access to healthcare, and displacement.

The involvement of external actors, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, supporting the Yemeni government, and Iran backing the Houthis, has further complicated the situation.

The United States has been providing support to the Saudi-led coalition, including intelligence, logistics, and arms sales, raising concerns about its role in the conflict and its impact on civilian casualties.
