The United Nations has issued an urgent appeal to raise $300 million in aid for Gaza and the West Bank as the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip enters its sixth day.

This follows the initiation of military operations by Palestinian resistance groups in Israel and settlements surrounding Gaza, which began on Saturday, October 7.

Since the morning of Saturday, October 7, Palestinian resistance has launched attacks targeting areas within Israel.

Simultaneously, they fired thousands of rockets into settlements surrounding Gaza, striking multiple locations within Israeli settlements.

In response, the Israeli occupation forces conducted extensive and intensive bombardments of the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of casualties have been reported in Israel due to Palestinian resistance attacks. Israel’s Broadcasting Authority announced on Tuesday that the Israeli death toll had reached 1,200.

In the midst of these events, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened a mini-cabinet meeting on Sunday, October 8, and approved a war budget.

Netanyahu considered the events of Saturday, October 7, as an unprecedented and severe day for Israel.

Netanyahu stated in his speech, “This is a tough day for all of us,” adding, “What happened today has no precedent in Israel, and we will avenge this black day.”

He pointed out that Hamas is responsible for the safety of the prisoners, and Israel will settle scores with anyone who harms them.

On the Palestinian side, the Ministry of Health declared a state of emergency in all hospitals and distributed medical supplies from its warehouses and blood banks to hospitals, ensuring they are equipped with necessary medical supplies.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health affirmed that all hospitals in the West Bank are ready to receive the wounded from the Gaza Strip.

President Mahmoud Abbas directed the necessity of providing protection for the Palestinian people and emphasized their right to defend themselves against settler terrorism and occupation forces.

He also called for providing everything necessary to strengthen the resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and settler gangs.
