As the Conference of the Parties (COP28) prepares to commence on November 30 at Expo City Dubai, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed a warm welcome in a message shared on Wednesday. On his X account, Sheikh Mohamed expressed honor in hosting COP28 and highlighted the necessity for a shared vision and collective action to address the planet’s challenges.

In his message, Sheikh Mohamed stated, “We are honored to welcome the international community to the UAE for the start of COP28. Solving the challenges facing our planet requires a shared vision and collective action, and we are determined to unite the world around climate action and ensure no one is left behind.”

Amid the growing anticipation for COP28, the Living with a Green Heart (LWGH) social sustainability initiative, led by Knauf Insulation, has launched the innovative One World. One Family. Exhibition & Events at the Slovenian Pavilion in Expo City Dubai. Running from November 1 to December 12, the exhibition focuses on sustainable practices and eco-conscious living from various indigenous communities globally, with weekly themes highlighting different aspects of ancient wisdom for modern well-being.

The exhibition, open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, features guided tours at 11 am on workdays, centering around the “365 Days of Ancient Wisdom for the Wellbeing of Modern Man” project by Dr. Saša Božič. The project involved Dr. Božič immersing herself in the traditions of 11 indigenous tribes across 11 global regions.
