Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Jarman, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations (UN) and other international organizations in Geneva, emphasized that dialogue and constructive engagement are the primary means to resolve the Syrian conflict, without external interventions.
In a statement on Twitter, the ambassador highlighted “the UAE’s support for the efforts made by the UN, especially the UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir O. Pedersen, to promote convergence of international and regional political views to address the long-term effects of the conflict.”
“Al-Jarman also affirmed that the UAE believes that dialogue and constructive participation are the main way to resolve the Syrian conflict without external interference in order to preserve Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity,” the statement added.
As the situation in Syria remains complex and the humanitarian consequences of the conflict persist, the UAE’s stance reflects its dedication to working within the framework of international law and multilateral cooperation.
