Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani had a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday and discussed economic development and bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the phone conversation, Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq’s keenness to build regional and international partnerships that contribute to the national economic development of other countries.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister stated that the Iraqi government “is working to confront challenges and consolidate security and stability in the region,” according to a press release issued by the Iraqi government.
On his part, Erdogan expressed his country’s tendency to expand cooperation with Iraq. He also asserted that Turkish companies are ready to work on the development path project and contribute to this economic opportunity.
The Turkish President underlined that this partnership aims to back exchange and communication between the two nations and serves all the peoples of the region.
