In the wake of his resounding victory in Iowa and ahead of a pivotal contest in New Hampshire, Donald Trump appeared before a civil court in New York on Tuesday for the second time, facing allegations brought by writer E. Jean Carroll.

Last Thursday, Trump, 77, who is currently the front-runner in the Republican primaries after a decisive win in the party’s Iowa caucuses, announced his intention to personally attend the court proceedings and defend himself.

Arriving in a black limousine convoy, Trump made his way to the courthouse in snow-covered southern Manhattan, a sight not seen in New York for over 700 days.

Seated at the defense table alongside his legal team, Trump faced the plaintiff’s claims as the process of selecting a nine-member civil jury got underway.
