Saudi Arabia expressed its “grave concern” over the ongoing military operations in the Red Sea and the air raids targeting locations in Yemen.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is deeply concerned about the military operations in the Red Sea region and the air strikes that several sites in the Republic of Yemen have been subjected to.”

The ministry emphasized the significance of maintaining the security and stability of the Red Sea region, which is internationally deemed crucial due to its impact on global navigation and interests.

In its statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry called for restraint and avoiding further escalation amid the current regional events.

The Kingdom has previously affirmed the importance of preserving the security and stability of the Red Sea area, where international laws guarantee the freedom, safety, and navigation rights of all states and ships.

Saudi Arabia advocates for diplomatic solutions to prevent the expansion of wars and conflicts, aiming to create conducive conditions for achieving global security and stability. This approach aligns with Saudi Arabia’s consistent and public stance on regional and global conflicts and crises.

The Kingdom also views any military escalation in the region as a potential complicator that could worsen the crisis, stressing the international community’s responsibility to come together and find necessary solutions to defuse tensions.
