Reiterating Saudi Arabia’s condemnation of Israeli violations and military operations in Gaza, Saudi Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met with US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan at the White House on Tuesday.
The meeting encompassed a review of strategic relations between the two nations and discussions on regional and international developments, with a focus on the unfolding events in Gaza and surrounding areas, alongside international efforts concerning the situation.
Prince Khalid emphasized the necessity of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to protect civilians and halt forced displacement, also advocating for unobstructed humanitarian aid delivery.
He stressed on working towards reinstating the path to peace, ensuring the Palestinian people attain their legitimate rights, establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, aiming for a fair and comprehensive peace.
Additionally, the Saudi Defense Minister and the US National Security Advisor discussed the ongoing Yemeni crisis, and the efforts made by Saudi Arabia to end the Yemen crisis, working towards achieving a comprehensive and lasting peace ensuring security and stability for Yemen and its people.
Prince Khalid shared a tweet reflecting on the strategic discussions with Jake Sullivan, reiterating the call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, civilian protection, humanitarian aid access, and resuming the path to peace.
