Protests Outside White House Against U.S. Bombing in Yemen

Washington D.C. witnessed protests in front of the White House on Friday, organized by demonstrators opposing the recent American military strikes on several locations in Yemen.

American media sources reported that the protesters demanded an end to the U.S.-led bombings in Yemen, chanting “Hands off Yemen.” Videos circulating online showed the demonstrators also voicing support for Palestinian liberation and waving Palestinian flags.

Media outlets speculate that the protest may have been organized by the ANSWER Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism), an anti-war and social justice alliance with organizational hubs across the United States.

The protest follows a joint military operation launched by the United States and Britain early Friday morning, targeting various locations in Yemen. This operation aims to weaken the ongoing Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
