King Mohammed VI of Morocco sent a handwritten letter to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar. The letter focuses on the bilateral relations between the two sisterly countries and ways to support and enhance them.
According to the Qatar News Agency, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Amir of Qatar, received the royal letter during a meeting at the Amiri Diwan (the seat of the government) on Monday morning.
The meeting was attended by Nasser Bourita, Foreign Minister, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, and Fouad Lakhjar, the Delegate Minister in charge of the Budget.
During the meeting, Bourita conveyed the greetings of the Moroccan monarch to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Deputy Emir.
He also extended his wishes for their well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the Qatari people.
In response, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of the Amir of Qatar and Deputy Emir to King Mohammed VI, expressing their heartfelt wishes for his good health and happiness, as well as for the further advancement and prosperity of the Moroccan people.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the strong fraternal relations between Morocco and Qatar and discuss ways to further develop them. Additionally, various topics of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
