Libyan PM Calls for the Return of Detained Libyan Aircraft in Kyiv

The Prime Minister of the Libyan Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, met with the new Ukrainian Ambassador to Libya, Volodymyr Homantsev, at the Al-Nasr Forest Hall Complex in the capital city of Tripoli.

The media office of the Unity Government stated that the two parties discussed the latest developments in the political situation in both countries and ways to enhance and develop bilateral relations.

Dbeibeh urged the Ukrainian ambassador to continue efforts to open the Ukrainian embassy in Tripoli.

During the meeting with the Ukrainian ambassador, Dbeibeh addressed the issue of the detained Libyan cargo aircraft, an Antonov model, in Kyiv, emphasizing the need to retrieve it as soon as possible.

On his part, the Ukrainian ambassador conveyed greetings from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Dbeibeh and praised the deep bilateral relations between the two countries.
